Buffet Beef Balls

Buffet Beef Balls


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon fat
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 1/3 cup beer
  • 35 small dill pickles (or green olives)


  1. Thoroughly mix together the first five ingredients
  2. Wrap a small amount of meat around each pickle (or olive) and shape into balls
  3. Brown the meat on all sides
  4. Turn heat on low
  5. Pour catsup and beer over meat balls
  6. cover and simmer 30 minutes
